“自然脸”还是“网红脸”:整容女性的象征性边界实践“Natural-style” or “Wanghong-style”:How Symbolic Boundaries Shape the Experience of Chinese Cosmetic Women

摘要(Abstract):
文章以青年女性整容过程中的身体实践为研究对象,在传统父权和女性主义相互协商的时代背景下,聚焦青年女性如何处理和回应以上两种性别文化对女性身体要求的张力。研究发现,整容女性使用了“符合科学的标准”“适当的整容次数”“不是整容的整容”三种文化策略,来进行象征性的划界实践,最终区隔出“自然脸”和“网红脸”两种取向。通过指认“网红脸”是父权文化的产物,整容女性经由“自然脸”得以归属于想象中的、具有反抗性的身体。然而,这种以身体实践的方式所达成的对于传统性别规范的破除与自我认同的重建,最终却造成了整容女性新的自我分裂。她们借由划界工作所获得的力量是有限的,但她们的实践为我们进一步思考女性自我“赋权”的理论提供了本土化的经验。
